About Us
The Liberian Friendship Society of Canada
Migration trends and historical occurrences in Liberia have influenced the Liberian Friendship Society of Canada’s past. Throughout its turbulent history, Liberia has seen many of its citizens flee to other nations, particularly Canada, in search of safety and better opportunities. Its founding, development, and members’ contributions to Canadian society are all part of the community’s history in Canada.
Values, Mission, and Vision:
The Liberian Friendship Society of Canada’s values, mission, and vision are centred on celebrating and conserving Liberian culture, offering assistance and resources to community members, encouraging a sense of unification, and belonging, and making a constructive contribution to Canadian society. The community’s goals are to preserve cultural identity, build a network of support for newcomers, and advance awareness and appreciation of Liberian heritage in the broader Canadian context.
